FAQs

How long should my project run?

1. 25 weeks. These weeks, as indicated in the Guidelines and General Instructions of page 2 in the booklet, refer to the whole period of the project including the long essay. It is expected that during the 25 weeks period you come up with a proposal and accomplish the whole task including all the entries in the journal and the long essay.

How many entries should I write in my journal?

2. There is no set number of entries in your journal nor a specific number of visits. This depends mostly on the nature of your project. Each entry must ideally include the observations, research and reflections made on each visit, task/activity or research session. This is clearly stated in page 2 number 7 b. "an entry for each activity".

How many areas should I reflect upon in my long essay?

3. In your long essay you must identify values from at least 2 SOK modules (e.g. Democratic Citizenship and Science and Technology or Environment and Science and Technology or Aesthetics and Environment, etc...). The Science and Technology aspect must always be reflected in the project.
